The 100 Best Movies of All Time

This is a list of 100 of the best movies of all time according to a group of Esquire editors. These are the movies we love and deem important and essential to the history of cinema. There will be movies you don't think should be on here. There will be movies you think should be on this list. And that's great! That's okay! If we missed something, or if you think we made a mistake, tell us in the comments! A list like this should be a living, evolving document that represents the time and tastes in which it was created. This specific list has been updated from a years-old Esquire list in which we substantially changed the entries in order to better reflect the movies we consider crucial right now. It will be updated again. Read More

The Q Timex Is Perfect for Everyone on Your List (Including You)

It's been just about a year and a half since the good folks at Timex decided to delve into the archives and reissue a design from 1979 known as the Q Timex, setting off a veritable frenzy in the process. We've lost count of how many times the OG from the now-expanded collection—the "Pepsi" colorway with the red-and-navy bezel and navy dial—sold out and was restocked, but at this point it's reliably available to anyone who happens to be in the market. Which brings us, dear reader, to you. Yes, you! You are the person who should be in the market. Why? Let us tell you all about it. Here's Style Director Jonathan Evans on why it's earned our latest Esquire Endorsement. Read More

22 Puffer Coats to Keep You Warm on Even the Coldest Winter Days

The puffer jacket is still one of the best investments you can make when it comes to keeping you warm through the worst of winter, and buying one remains the most effective way to conjure up fond childhood memories while paying tribute to your parent's unfailing foresight (and hell, maybe even passing on down the trait to your own progeny). But don't just take it from us. We've got your mom on the other line here, and she'd like to make sure you're dressing appropriately, buster. And you don't want to disappoint your mom again, do you? 50+ Gifts That'll Make You Mom's Favorite Kid

Making sure your mom knows every second of every day how much you appreciate her—how much you've relied on her over the years, from the time she was hauling you around in the backseat of the family Subaru to the day before yesterday, when she texted you a video of the family pup because she knew it'd brighten your afternoon—is your number-one priority as a son or daughter. That's where a good gift comes in, whether the occasion is a birthday, an anniversary, or early prep for Christmas. Maybe it's a sentimental tribute to the family she's built. Maybe it's a cool gadget to keep up with her busy life. Maybe all that matters is that it comes from her favorite kid (you, obviously). Whatever the case, it'll be here on our list of 50 great gift ideas for all moms. Read More

The 35 Best Gifts for Book Lovers

Let's face it: The bookworm in your life likely doesn't need any more books. Chances are, their shelves are already groaning beneath the weight of their collection—not to mention that they're rather particular about their literary diet. The Weeknd Is Right. Something Is Wrong With The Grammys.

Earlier this year, The Weeknd's album After Hours became the first record since Drake's Scorpion (2018) to spend four consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. That was only the beginning. The album's singles continued to dominate the charts, specifically "Blinding Lights," which became a viral sensation. After a year like that, The Weeknd seemed primed to be a top contender at this year's Grammys, where, in the past, he's been nominated 10 times but only taken home three trophies (none of the wins have been in major categories). This, by all known logic, should have been The Weeknd's year at the Grammys. But logic doesn't exist when it comes to the Grammys, where winners are chosen by a shadowy process of industry insiders. As we've come to expect, the Recording Academy released a largely baffling, disappointing, and downright infuriating list of Grammy nominees yesterday. And, by all accounts, the biggest snub was that The Weeknd's name didn't appear on that list once. Matt Miller explains why The Weeknd, and many other artists, are justified in their grievances.
