Late Thursday night, thanks to considerable help from the DemonRATS in the minority, House speaker Mike Johnson managed to get a bill out of the House Rules Committee to send military aid to Israel and Ukraine, the latter to assist that country in its war effort against the Russian invaders. This guarantees a floor vote on Saturday. The debate will be ugly; too many of the screaming meemies of the Angry Children's Caucus are opposed to the bill for us to hope for a civil debate. It also may be the final act of Speaker Moses as the speaker of the house. |

Let me start this off by saying, Four Lads in Jeans, if you're reading this, I love you. I do. I think your shared camaraderie over wearing super, super skinny pants that sometimes don't even reach your ankles is beautiful. But I'm also so relieved that what brought the four of you together and into the minds of the collective Internet is gone. The lads became the subject of meme after meme (and even a statue), and yes, ha-ha, it's all very funny, but also, no it isn't. Wearing skinny jeans isn't a joke—it's a crime. |
