Ma! Hey Ma! Imma give you the woild Ma! Just afta I finish writin' Esquiyah's best TV of the year list. I apologize, readers. To the great detestation of my colleagues, I'm still impersonating Colin Farrell's stellar performance as Oz Cobb in The Penguin, and I will continue to do so until the calendar flips to 2025. Capeesh? Good. Now, the reason why we're here today: this is the time of year when Esquire narrows down its running list of the year's top television shows of the year into a neat and tidy top ten. And I have to admit—this was an especially tough year to figure out which ten deserved to stay on this countdown. Across the few years I've contributed to this list, I've never seen so much variation between each critics' and outlets' final rankings. |

Ahead of the series finale, Luke Grimes said that season 5 was "actually the easiest season we've filmed," in an exclusive interview with Esquire. He revealed that "there was a part of Kevin being gone that meant some of the conflict was gone." As you can imagine, Costner didn't exactly love what Grimes had to say. According to Daily Mail, paparazzi tracked the former Yellowstone star down to Aspen, Colorado, just to ask him if he's spoken to Grimes since the series ended. Reportedly, Costner responded with a curt, "We're done talking." Ouch. "I'm not thinking about [the Yellowstone finale]," Costner continued as the paparazzi hounded him. "I don't think I've given it any thoughts. We'll just let it go." |

As we contemplate the light-amber liquid in our long-stemmed tasting glasses, Shinji Fukuyo uses a surprising word to describe the delicate flavors in his latest creation: antique. Fukuyo is the chief blender for House of Suntory, the esteemed Japanese whisky producer perhaps best known to non- aficionados as the brand that brought Bill Murray to Tokyo as its pitchman in the 2003 movie Lost in Translation. Here in an elegant hotel dining room in midtown Manhattan, it is very much Suntory time again. And my lucky fellow tasters and I are about to sample a rare new bottle—with a price tag that's hard to fathom. |
