I felt all along that, if the Supreme Court had allowed Colorado and other states to boot him off the ballot in 2024 under the 14th Amendment's anti-insurrection clause, as it should have, Trump would have run anyway. And if he'd not won the Republican nomination, he'd have shown sufficient strength to make that nomination worthless to Nikki Haley or whoever got it. He'd have puddle-jumped the country for his ego-feeding rallies and rendered the entire process a perilous farce. |
