Buying a watch on a budget—a real budget, not a watch-nerd “under $5,000” budget—is never easy. That’s especially true when you’re looking for a dress watch. Though it shouldn’t be that difficult to make a classic watch with a leather strap and an affordable movement, a lot of brands get it wrong. This week, we set out to find the ones that get it right. These are the watches to wear to a big meeting, job interview, or dinner date. If you don't have any of those things on the calendar, no worries; these watches work great as daily drivers, too.
