The basic premise of Donald Trump's rolling attempts to get the 2020 election results thrown out was the idea that, in spite of all available evidence, he did not really lose. He didn't try to steal the election, you see, or try to remain in power in contravention of the will of the people. The other side stole the election, of which he was the true and rightful winner. Except there have been some clues all along that he does not actually drink the snake-oil he's peddling, at least not all the time.
Finding a fail-proof gift for a man's birthday, anniversary, or holiday is suddenly a lot less daunting. There are many mighty fine deals to be found come February 21—and right now, for that matter. So we still don't know what happened. After almost two decades of investigation, speculation, and accusation, we don't have a conclusive picture of the events leading up to Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004. This weekend's two-night, four-hour documentary Janet Jackson., which aired simultaneously on A&E and Lifetime, offered her the perfect opportunity to address that infamous moment once and for all. Instead she revealed virtually nothing.
21 novels with no obvious road map. Let's dive in! In a 10 minute long video published to Instagram, the podcast host responded to accusations of spreading Covid-19 misinformation on Spotify. Of the many small, weird things that happened at the end of 2021 was the opening of a very good Korean restaurant, maybe the best in New York City, on the second floor of a car showroom in Manhattan. The restaurant in question is Onjium, a lauded Seoul establishment specializing in royal cuisine from the Joseon dynasty as well as an ancient noble cuisine called banga. The showroom in question is called the Genesis House, a three-story 45,000 square foot glimmering structure on the far West Side. The showroom, as you might expect, has cars in it, not many but the ones on display are sleek and seem to purr even when dormant. This is future shit. One model, the GV60, even has a crystal ball as a shifter. The question that occurred to me on a recent dinner at Onjium is whether this wasn't just the future of cars but of restaurants too.
