This story contains spoilers for Season Four, Part One of Ozark. Five seconds. Ozark usually moves at a hauntingly flat-footed pace, building tension bit by bit, like a twisted Jenga tower, only to knock it all down an hour later. That changed in the series's Season Four, Part One finale, which debuted on Netflix last week. After an episode filled with FBI wheelings and dealings, it suddenly cuts to cartel-boss-in-waiting Javi. With about 10 minutes left in the new batch of episodes, he storms into the Snell ranch, murders Wyatt Langmore and Darlene Snell, and moves on. "I kind of had a different idea of how it was going to be," says Charlie Tahan, who has played Wyatt in Ozark since the show premiered. "I thought it was going to be a lot more drawn out. But I really loved the sudden shock of it. It's five seconds. They sit down and that's it."
It's time to invest in some sneakers specifically made with your new(ish) pastime in mind. Chocolate and flowers are classic—but not exactly original. After a series of red lights, Squid Game, the massively successful Korean drama that took over Netflix in the second half of 2021, has officially gotten the green light for a second season. (No Netflix employees were executed in this decision making process.) Netflix co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer Ted Sarandos made the announcement last week during an earnings call. When asked about the future of the series, Sarandos said, "Absolutely. The Squid Gameuniverse has just begun."
Line of Trade's double-pocket workshirt should be a go-to layer for the colder months ahead. The hand-picked Supreme Court majority takes up affirmative action. Tom Brady walks lightly on the world. Tiptoes. The sound of his feet? Forget it. He might just as well be wearing slippers. When he sits in the car, the motion is so sudden and fluid that the temptation is to look twice to be sure he is present. And there he is. Tom Brady. The Tom Brady. The Brady. A big man. Taller, thinner, slower, quieter, and—it must be said—a little more milky white than one might expect. In the glinting angle of a limousine-crafted profile, he brings to mind someone beautiful and iconically male—Tyrone Power, perhaps.
