Apologies all around for the joint's being closed last Friday. We had an emergency involving certain invoices sent to the state of Oklahoma that were deemed questionable by postal authorities, who have their eyes on the recipient, I can tell you that. We were interrogated for 12 hours. Strong men wept when we had to eat the last pickled egg from the jar that had been left untouched on the bar since VJ Day. It was a nightmare. Less said the better… Heatwaves. Meth. Bath salts. Pythons in the Everglades. Rick Scott. Ron DeSantis. And now...leprosy? Florida needs a break. |

There's a lot to say about hotels in Paris these days. The city of lights, love, and luxury has a lot of newness, on top of its already bustling hotel population. And, sure, this is the type of city where you spend your days perusing museums, designer shops, and restaurants—but where will you stay while doing so? While you might not be spending 24/7 in your room, would it even feel like Paris if there wasn't just a little bit of charm where you sleep? Paris has opened its doors to a handful of new hotels in the last few years, and while a lot of them are still over-the-top, there are some in-between options worth bookmarking. |

John Lauro, El Caudillo Del Mar-a-Lago's latest hapless mouthpiece, hit what we like to call the Ginsburg Slam on the Sunday Showz this week. He did five of them, none of them particularly well. But it was on Meet The Press where he made me wonder whether or not his heart is really in this case. It also convinced me that, were if I ever up on a capital charge, I'd rather have Daffy Duck as my lawyer. |
