Yesterday brought the most shocking entertainment news I can remember in a long time: Netflix plans to acquire Warner Bros. for—wait for it—$82.7 billion. I'm hardly hyperbolizing when I tell you that, if this deal goes through, it will change (or maybe even destroy) Hollywood forever. We sorted through the aftermath, answering questions such as: What does this mean for subscribers of both Netflix and HBO Max? How does this impact DC Studios? Is this the end of CNN? What happens to HBO Sunday nights? If you just want to know what to even make of the Tinseltown-shattering news, we'll tell you exactly how we feel about it. —Brady Langmann, senior entertainment editor

The Great Hollywood Reshuffle is here. Following the blockbuster Paramount-Skydance merger and Taylor Sheridan's shocking move to Universal, we have news that makes both deals look miniscule in comparison. This Friday morning, Netflix announced plans to acquire Warner Bros. in an unprecedented deal valued at $82.7 billion. By fall 2026, when the acquisition is likely to complete, Netflix will own its former rival's historic film and TV studios, including the HBO library and the HBO Max streaming service. The streaming service also named Warner Bros. IP—including The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, The Wizard of Oz, and the DC Universe—as properties that will join Netflix's portfolio to create "an extraordinary entertainment offering for audiences worldwide." So, is this the end of Hollywood as we know it? |

| After dominating the beer world for more than a decade, we're still celebrating the IPA. We should be sick of a beverage that's been so dominant for so long, which is why there's no shortage of jokes about needing to try the latest cat-piss-battery-acid version. And yet, the usually yellow, generally bitter style of beer is outlasting the now-crumbling bourbon industry and increasingly fatigued natural wine market with no sudsy usurper waiting to seize its taps. Other beers simply can't match the IPA's bold flavor and balanced profile. That boldness comes from hops. The fragrant green flowers are used in every beer to balance the sweetness of malts while sometimes lending floral and fruit notes. As hop cultivation and consumer taste evolved, brewers found that the IPA was the best canvas to explore the possibilities of the resinous, oily plant. |

We all have a special woman in our life who deserves the world, and maybe, sometimes, it seems like she already has it. Whether you're looking for the perfect gift for your girlfriend, wife, mom, sister, or daughter, we know you want to find something she doesn't already have but you know she'll want—which can seem daunting. Even if she says she has it all, we're here to tell you that she doesn't. You know she deserves a great gift, and you're hoping to think outside of the usual generic candle-we-get-and-give-away territory. You've come to the right place. |
