And Then Mitch McConnell Laughed

As the first day of questioning in the Senate Judiciary Committee began on Tuesday, I thought it was nice of Mitch McConnell to show the nation that Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court is being ramrodded by an inhuman ghoul. Engaging in debate with Amy McGrath, his Democratic challenger, McConnell was being belabored about adjourning the Senate without some sort of relief package to cope with the pandemic. And then this happened. He laughed. That miserable sonuvabitch laughed. There are north of 200,000 American deaths and that miserable sonuvabitch laughed. We could all use a little more wisdom these days. So, on the occasion of their first-ever collab, a filmed version of the stage show American Utopia, we asked seasoned iconoclasts David Byrne and Spike Lee to tell us how they're getting by—and how we might, too. There is something in the air this year. Today, October 13, kicks off the two-day frenzy of artillery-fast sales that is Amazon Prime Day. It is also the date of Apple's second Keynote, in which the company will all but certainly reveal its new line of iPhones to accompany its already-released 2020 iPads and Apple Watches. Most notably, the AirPods Pro are 50 bucks fewer, and the Series 3 Apple Watch is a pretty sweet $30 off. Below, you'll find the rest of the Apple deals featured for Amazon Prime Day 2020. And, don't worry, we'll keep an eye out for the other slumbering giants—Facebook, Google, maybe even Samsung—to see if they add their names to the list of ongoing, not-too-shabby tech deals for Amazon Prime Day.
