The 20+ Best Amazon Prime Day Menswear Deals to Shop Right Now

Amazon Prime Day is still the retailer's biggest event by far, the opportune time to stock up on basic and not-so-basic pieces from menswear brands big and small alike. To help you navigate the metric ton of product available, we here at Esquire have taken it upon ourselves to put together a Prime Day primer (heh) encompassing all the sweet, sweet, menswear deals you should be shopping at this very moment. Here is the best of what's still available right now. Read More

You Need a Pair of Clarks Originals Desert Boots. I Hope I'm Not the First Person to Say It.

A little more than a year ago, we wrote a whole long thing about how you should consider the Wallabee—that iconic, wedge-soled, square-toed shoe from the good folks at Clarks—because everyone has a pair of the brand's desert boots and it's fun to branch out a bit. We still believe you should consider the Wallabee, but it has since come to our attention that...not everyone owns a pair of desert boots. This came as a shock. But after taking our Pirin tablets and steadying our breathing, we realized that though many of us came into the world of style in the age of forums and blogs—when every dude and his distant cousin were lacing up their DBs as a matter of course—the simple and stylish utility of the desert boot is not actually universal knowledge. Today, we're doing our small part to change that. Esquire Style Director Jonathan Evans explains why the classic style is one every guy should have in his arsenal—and why it's earned our latest Esquire Endorsement. Read More

Amy Coney Barrett's Answer on This Climate Change Question Is Completely Disqualifying. She Will Be Confirmed.

Someday, we will marvel at how so many of the most influential people in this country were allowed to sashay down the halls of power, refusing all the way to acknowledge an existential threat to human civilization as we know it. It might be just a few years from now. After all, this has been going on for decades, and we're running out of time. But these conservative cutouts for industries whose business revolves around pumping carbon dioxide into the air are still scrolling through their list of dodges and feints, lying about the overwhelming body of evidence that has led scientists who actually study the climate crisis to reach a consensus that humans are contributing to the problem in decisive and destructive fashion. One of these conservatives gliding around is Amy Coney Barrett, the latest Trumpian nominee to fill a lifetime seat on the United States Supreme Court. Barrett has consistently refused to answer what seem to be fairly basic and uncontroversial questions about the law, like whether the president should commit to a peaceful transfer of power, whether he can unilaterally delay the upcoming election, and whether voter intimidation is illegal. So maybe it should not have been a surprise when Barrett also refused to answer fairly basic questions outside the law, like, you know, any concerns about this whole climate crisis thing? Here's Politics Editor Jack Holmes on why her response was unacceptable—and why she'll still get confirmed. Read More
