There's been, count 'em, 28 Marvel Cinematic universe films. Iron Man introduced us to this great world. The Avengers showed us a team-up we never thought was possible. Black Panther impacted our lives in a way the superhero genre never had before. Avengers: Endgame was so long that we nearly peed our pants. But it was worth it. And now, we're fully back in theaters, with another superhero event: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Read on to see where it lands in our ranking of every film Marvel has put on the big screen.
The collaboration returns for spring 2022. We've never been so enticed to microwave—yes, microwave—our bacon. There's an episode of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius—kids show, early 2000s, doesn't matter—where Jimmy, the titular boy genius, tries to make his friend, Sheen, into a boy genius as well. Jimmy feeds this poor, stupid kid so much damn data that his brain quadruples in size and he becomes a raging child monster. The knowledge is all good stuff, by the way! It's just that enterprising little Jimmy stuffs so much of it in Sheen's skull that it drives him a little crazy. I thought about this a lot during Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel is Jimmy, and Sheen is Multiverse of Madness, stuffed to the brim with 14 years of interconnected superhero storytelling. And I've gotta say—it drove me a little mad.
Make mom's day special and your life easier. You've still got time. Just not a lot of it. Undeterred by Secret Service men, high fences, bodyguards, and Jackie O.'s own decoy techniques (sunglasses, flower bouquets) Ron Galella became famous by making the former first lady miserable.
