There is a hole in your fragrance cabinet. That hole is in the shape of this bottle. Rarely will I be so prescriptive when it comes to cologne, but it’s even rarer that a fragrance has such versatility. D.S. & Durga’s Cowboy Grass is the exception to the rule. Read why below. —Luke Guillory, commerce editor

D.S. & Durga’s Cowboy Grass is a cult classic for a reason.

I’m never definitive with colognes. I can’t abide signature fragrances, as in only owning and wearing one. That’s too close to a tech-guy’s over-optimized, “I only wear this shirt and these pants so I have more time to focus on making a robot that replaces human jobs and also probably kills people.” I can’t abide smell-good-on-anybody fragrances because we all have different chemistries, different personalities. And I can’t abide year-round fragrances because warm and rich grosses me out in the summer, salty and zesty makes me feel cold in winter. There are different scents for different times.
Except this one—D.S. & Durga’s first fragrance, its most popular fragrance, its best fragrance: Cowboy Grass. This one breaks all my rules, bends all my opinions. I wear it year-round and recommend it to anyone who might spare a second to listen. If you’d like, I’ll do that now. If not, go ahead and buy it; I promise it’ll smell good on you.

The Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show is where the finest vintage and antique pieces find their way into the cases of the dealers who cater to collectors. At the antique show there’s so much product it’s disorienting: gems in every color and shape and size, ancient coins, natural pearls, every metal you can think of, pieces you could hang on a wrist or a shoulder or pin to an ear or a lapel. Both shows are for the trade only; members of the public are not allowed. But a few years ago, a dealer got me in, and I’ve been going to both ever since. They always run at the same time, and they’re the best places to see the cutting edge of what will show up in the top personal collections in coming years—and, after that, what will become part of the personal style of guys across the country.
There was a time when most of this stuff would have been off-limits for a man. For way too long, the rules of men’s jewelry didn’t allow for much beyond diamonds and gold, silver, or maybe another metal. Anything colorful, anything past subtle, was gauche or outré or—let’s be honest—considered too feminine. Not anymore. The global men’s jewelry market is on an insane run: According to Polaris Research, it was valued at $48.56 billion in 2024 and is projected to hit $124.13 billion by 2034, with North America alone making up about 60 percent of that.

OG Anunoby is a man of simple pleasures. When he’s not playing basketball at Madison Square Garden as a member of the New York Knicks, he enjoys watching Stranger Things on Netflix. He loves Uber Eats, and his favorite time of the year is when he can see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree light up. He keeps his private life private; he’s not an oversharer. But one thing he’s happy to talk about, other than his will to win basketball games, is Skechers.
The blue-and-orange sneakers are just one of multiple pairs of shoes that Anunoby wears throughout a game. He’s known to switch up his style in between quarters. But that incredible moment is now immortalized in that special Knicks colorway, which Skechers is finally making available to the public. At the launch event of the SKX Nexus “NYC Blue” at Extra Butter on the Lower East Side of New York City, Anunoby told me that it’s special to be able to share this with the fans.
